Overview
These codes are local laws adopted by City Council to regulate how property may be subdivided and developed. The purpose of regulating subdivisions and land use is to implement the policies of the General Plan.

The Zoning Code has two parts:

Zoning Map that illustrates the distribution of zoning districts throughout
         the City.

Zoning Text (Chapter 26) that describes the allowable uses and required development
         standards for each zoning district.

The Subdivision Code (Chapter 23) establishes regulations for the design of a subdivision (lots, streets, etc) and the types of improvements (street construction, drainage facilities, etc).
