Acceptable Recycling Materials

Only place recyclable materials into your blue container!

Aseptic Containers

  • Juice boxes
  • Milk cartons

Glass

  • All colors of glass beverage and food containers (Please rinse and remove lids)

Metal

All metal food and beverage containers, including those made of aluminum, tin, steel and bi-metals:

  • Aluminum cans (Soda cans, beer cans, etc.)
  • Pots and pans
  • Tin/steel food and beverage cans (Please rinse - Labels are okay)

Paper

Most clean and dry household paper:

  • Cardboard (Flatten and bundle with string no larger than 3'x3')
  • Computer paper
  • Envelopes (Including plastic window types)
  • Food boxes (cereal, crackers)
  • Junk mail and catalogs
  • Magazines and phone books
  • Newspaper

Plastic

All rigid containers with recycling symbols 1-7, and other materials including:

  • Milk and juice jugs
  • Shampoo, detergent, and other household bottles (Please rinse and remove lids)
  • Soft drink and water bottles
  • Yogurt, margarine, and other food containers

 

Unacceptable Recycling Materials

Please do not place the following un-recyclable materials into your blue container!
