The primary objective of the Business Assistance and Housing Development Department is to provide community services, decent housing, and to expand business opportunities beneficial to the citizens of Oroville.  The Business Assistance and Housing Development Department administers projects, programs, and activities that are funded primarily by Federal, State and local grants and other funding resources.  Grant and other funding resources include Community Development Block Grant, Home Investment Partnerships, CalHome, USDA Rural Development, Redevelopment Agency Housing Set-Aside, and Redevelopment Agency Taxable Bond Funds.

Business Assistance - The City of Oroville has established programs and activities designed to enhance the local economy by providing financial and technical assistance to qualified new and existing businesses. The Business Assistance and Housing Development Department staff administers programs and activities designed to provide assistance to business owners or potential business owners located or locating in the City of Oroville:

Housing Development - The City of Oroville has established programs and activities designed to provide decent, safe, sanitary and affordable housing to eligible citizens.  The programs are available primarily to income qualified families and individuals residing or seeking housing opportunities in the City of Oroville.

Community Enhancement and Services - The City of Oroville has provided services and equipment beneficial to the citizens of Oroville from Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and Program Income and/or Oroville Redevelopment Agency (RDA) funds.
