The City of Oroville Park Commission was established to oversee and manage the municipal park system. To do so, the Commission is conveyed special authority and responsibility by the City Charter. The Commission consists of five members to be appointed by the council each to serve for a term of five years, without compensation. They appoint a superintendent of parks who shall have general supervision of all parks.
