Greenline Tour

Enjoy Oroville’s 15 mile scenic driving tour. Beginning at Highway 70 and Montgomery Street, the Greenline Tour offers insight and direction to some of Oroville’s most unique and desired destinations, starting at:

• Riverbend Park - For every outdoor enthusiast. Riverbend offers a full disc golf course, kayak & canoe rentals, rock climbing walls, water fountain features, picnic areas and much more.
  
  
• C.F. Lott Home/Sank Park – Built in 1856, the Victorian gothic revival-style historic home, built by Charles Fayette Lott, a former state senator, now serves as a historic house museum and cultural repository for decorative art objects typical of Oroville’s first pioneer’s. Enjoy 2-acres of rose and herb gardens, a coach house and gazebo. This sight is a favorite amongst locals for weddings and more.
  
  
• Chinese Temple – Built in 1863, the Temple includes three chapels dedicated to Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. Visitors can view an extensive collection of embroidered tapestries, parade parasols, folk art and many other Chinese artifacts or tour the magnificent gardens, designed as a place of meditation, with plants that originated in China.
  
  
• Bolt's Antique Tool Museum– Celebrating the tools that built our world, the Bolt's Antique Tool Museum contains “the largest known documented collection of hand tools in the United States,” writes Smithsonian Magazine. For every person that holds an interest in tools, this museum is a must see!
  
  
• Centennial Plaza – In honor of the City of Oroville’s 100th year anniversary, Centennial Plaza offers a commanding view of the Feather River. An ideal place to stretch your legs, enjoy a picnic and take in the serene beauty that the Feather River has to offer.
  
  
• Pioneer Museum – A museum dedicated in 1932 to preserving the memories of the pioneers who first settled within Butte County. The Pioneer Museum boasts an impressive collection of artifacts and memorabilia dating from the Gold Rush era to the early part of the Twentieth Century.

• Feather River Fish Hatchery – Take in the commanding views of spawning salmon and steelhead at this local hatchery. When in season, visitors can capture close-up views of the salmon and steelhead as they make their way up the fish ladders. Interpretive panels and the nursery make this a truly hands on experience.

• Feather River Nature Center– once a bath house for gold miners, the Nature Center’s rock house now serves as a museum surrounded by beautiful local fauna and spectacular views of the beautiful Feather River.
  

• Lake Oroville Spillway – Oroville Dam – built in 1978 and representing the tallest dam in the United States, the Oroville Dam stands 770 feet tall and 6,920 feet long. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk across the dam, or take in a picnic along the shoreline.
  

• Oroville Visitor’s Center – located high above Lake Oroville, visitors can climb a 47 foot tower to view the lake, Table Mountain and the Sutter Buttes (the world’s smallest mountain range). Operated by California Department of Fish and Game, the Visitor’s Center boasts an abundance of history and exhibits, including the early development of the Oroville Dam, local resident wildlife as well as Ishi, the last of the Yahi tribe.
