CITY OF OROVILLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT/HOUSING LOAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Housing Loan Committee MEETINGS:
      The Community Development/Housing Loan Advisory (LAC) meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:130 p.m., at Oroville City Hall 1735 Montgomery Street, Oroville, CA Conference Room One.

PURPOSE:
      The function of the Loan Advisory Committee will be to review and act on First Time Home Buyer (FTHB) and Housing Rehabilitation, loan packages recommended by Housing Program staff for financing. The Loan Advisory Committee will review the application in terms of : eligibility, compliance with all program requirements, consistency of staff recommendation regarding terms, and type(s) of assistance provided. The Committee will also review the proposed loan package, and if appropriate, recommend changes in loan terms, and type(s) of assistance to be provided.

MEMBERSHIP:
      The Committee will consist of two (2) members of the City Council to be appointed by majority vote of the City Council, three (3) City residents to be appointed by the City Council and the Community Development/Housing Manager and Finance Director as ex officio members without a vote.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:
      The Community Development/ Housing Loan Advisory Committee member, will remain on the Committee until resignation by the member or a new member is appointed by the City Council.

APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY:
      Citizens interested in applying for the Community Development/Housing Loan Advisory Committee must live in the Oroville City Limits.
