26-105 Certificate of occupancy.

A. No vacant land in any district established under the provisions of this chapter shall hereafter be occupied or used except for agricultural purposes as permitted under the provisions of this chapter; and no building hereafter erected, structurally altered, or moved into or within such district shall be occupied until a certificate of occupancy shall have been issued by the building department.
B. Any legal use or occupancy of an existing building at the time this chapter or amendments thereto became effective may continue but shall not be changed unless a certificate of occupancy for the new use shall have been issued by the building department.
C. The certificate of occupancy shall state that the building or proposed use of a building or land has complied with all laws and provisions of this chapter, and site plan and development review.
D. A record of all certificates of occupancy shall be kept on file in the building department and copies shall be furnished on request to any person having a proprietary or tenancy interest in the subject building, use, or land. (Ord. No. 1167 (part).)
