Responsibilities of the City Administrator:
Oroville City Administration       The City Administrator's office is responsible for implementing the policy of the City Council and for the management and coordination of the daily operations of the City. Responsibilities include overall supervision of all City departments and direct coordination with the City Council, public information, intergovernmental relations, economic development and franchise management. The City Administrator also serves as the City Clerk, the Personnel Officer, Risk Manager, Transit Contract Administrator, Executive Director for the Oroville Redevelopment Agency, and the Oroville Public Finance Authority.


Economic Development
      The City Administrator is responsible for administering the City's economic development programs and ensuring the coordination of the programs through its departments and divisions. The programs include Enterprise Zone, Recycling Management Development Zone and HUB Zone. The City also participates in the Federal Foreign Trade Zone, administered by the Oroville Economic Development Corporation.


Oroville City Administrations City Attorney
      The City Attorney is the primary legal advisor to the City Council, its Commissions and City Departments. Major activities include providing accurate legal advise and direction to ensure that the City's operations conform to all federal, state laws and City ordinances as well as representing the City in legal proceedings. Theses services are provided by contract with an independent attorney.
