New Stop Signs at Nelson Ave & 6th Street
NEW STOP SIGNS AT
NELSON AVENUE & 6TH STREET
OROVILLE, CA. JUNE 28, 2017 –
The City of Oroville will be installing new stop signs making the intersection of Nelson Avenue and 6th Street (Thermalito area) into a three-way stop. The signs and traffic change were recently approved by the City Council to provide safety to this intersection which is on a busy route that school children use.
Signs will be up in the next few weeks, however they will be covered for a short period of time to allow motorists to acquaint themselves with the change. Additionally, flashing red beacons will be placed on top of the stop signs and the pavement will be appropriately marked on the first day that the signs are fully operational.
Questions regarding the stop signs may be directed to the City of Oroville, Public Works Department (530) 538-2401.
